Last month, we held our first teacher trainer recruitment events in mainland China and Hong Kong. The selection process went well and we were able to invite the shortlisted candidates to participate in further workshops in Beijing and Shanghai. Our approach to training supports teachers to become confident, responsible, reflective, innovative and engaged. Becoming a Cambridge trainer also offers teachers fantastic professional development opportunities.
培训师在很多场合直接代表剑桥，因此我们在选拔培训师方面十分严谨。我们有着全球统一的培训师录用标准，对于母语为非英语的中国剑桥教师来说，他们要付出的努力要远多于英语国家的教师。在授课方法上，中国本土教师也需要作更大的创新和改善。剑桥对中国区培训师有着极高的期待，希望他们能为东亚区教师职业发展带来新的推进！
We have a rigorous teacher trainer recruitment process: In addition to meeting our high standards, Chinese teachers also have to work hard to overcome the language barrier if English is not their first language. We also expect all our teacher trainers to embrace innovative teaching styles and personal professional development. We hold high expectations of our new trainers in China and believe they will be great examples for aspiring teachers throughout East Asia.

What does it take to become a Cambridge trainer?
首先，所有申请人必须有相关科目的剑桥课程教学经历、所申请学科的本科以上学历。而若想进行中级（extension）或以上水平的培训，除了教学经历，还必须是该科目的考官（examiner）。（这样才能从评分技巧上给出更多干货啊！）对于中国区培训师，我们要求拥有雅思7分或以上、CAE证书、TOEFL 110及以上（或同等水平的）的英语能力证明。
All candidates need to have experience in teaching Cambridge programmes and qualifications, and they should have a BA/BSc (Honours) degree in the subject which they are teaching. Candidates who would like to advance to leading the Extension Training and Enrichment Professional Development should be examiners in that particular subject area too. We also ask that all candidates in the Greater China region have proof of English language competency. For example, an IELTS score at 7 or above, a CAE certificate, a TOEFL score of 110 or above or any equivalent test.
除了这些硬性要求，培训师还要经历剑桥理念培训、内部试讲(showcase)、评估、在线课程、观摩前辈（shadowing）、再次评估等一系列流程才能获得剑桥的正式认证。
In addition to the above, we also expect candidates to be familiar with the Cambridge educational ethos, full of good teaching ideas to share with other teachers and committed to developing their teaching practice before they can be recognised as an accredited Cambridge trainer.
这还远远没有结束。认证后，新手培训师前几次培训都要被资深培训师全程观察、现场指导。评估再次通过之后，才能独立面对剑桥教师，进行培训。每次培训结束后，剑桥地区团队、培训学员需要对培训师进行综合反馈，剑桥会有专门的团队对反馈进行分析、报告，以评估一名培训师的培训质量。下图说明了在选拔通过后，培训师在成为剑桥认证培训师之前，还需要经历的重重关卡。
The learning process doesn’t stop there though! During their first few training events, newly accredited trainers will be assessed by and receive coaching from senior Cambridge trainers. Another round of evaluation then takes place before the new trainers can train teachers on their own.
