More than141,800 IB Diploma Programme (DP) students attendedthe exams this year. The number of students receiving theirdiplomas this year marks a 4.8 percent increase compared to last year’s examsession.
The May 2015 session in the Asia Pacific region achieved an average diploma scoreof 33.22 points (of 45 possible maximum), with 63 students achieving a perfectscore. The top five largest cohorts in Asia for this session could be found inChina (2,943 students), India (2,827 students), Hong Kong (1,995), Indonesia(1,105 students) and Singapore (1,064).
Withmore than 800 examination papers processed in 76 languages, this was thelargest exam session conducted at the IB since the introduction of the DP. Alarge number of examiners teamed up across the world in this year’s session, toestablish accurate grading criteria across all subjects and ensure consistencyacross the evaluation process.
